Names Charlotte, I'm 22 years of age and I live in a quiet village in Kent.
I always grew up around cameras and camcorders as my Mum loved to film everything, I mean everything. Birthdays, Christmas, Christenings, Weddings. Any card that was opened was filmed and any present we were given had to be filmed. This really exposed me to the world of filming and cameras. My Grandad was an avid photographer and was very talented.
I began to explore my passion for photography when I was about 14 years old, using little digital cameras to take photos of everything I did. I then got my first DSLR was I was about 16. It was a NIKON D3000i and I loved it. This camera took a lot of practise and research to learn how to use but when I got the hang of it, I couldn't put it down.
Landscape photography was the first style that I really practised and got to grips with. This swiftly moved on to Nature and Wildlife photography when I purchased my first telephoto lens.
More recently I explored studio photography with the help of my dog to be my little model. I loved how you can easily control the environment and colours in which you produce within an image when using a white background. It was easy to block out certain streams of light in order to create a shadow effect and the use of props in order to create your own background.
